We had a very busy week last week in Reception. We really enjoyed sports day and want to say Thank You to Mr Seddon. This week we have planted sunflower seeds in the Poly Tunnel. We will continue to look after them and watch them grow. We enjoy observing how the plants are changing and growing in the poly tunnel.

The children enjoyed tasting a different variety of foods. We then arranged ourselves into groups of our favourite foods. Polish - 9 children, Chinese - 12, French- 6 and English 2. Also well done to the children who received their bronze awards this week.

Spring has started and RM have had 'green fingers'. We have planted a variety of seeds, so keep an eye on our patches in the next coming weeks. We have also celebrated St.Patrick's Day this week. We arrived to school on Thursday to find a pot of gold. We looked at pictures of Ireland, watched videos of Irish sport, music and dancing. The children enjoyed the dancing most and have even tried themselves. We are learning to say hello in Irish, "Dia Dhuit"
The children and staff have been very busy planting lots of new flowers and bulbs in the containers . Inside of the unit we have planted strawberries and tomatoes and hope to transfer them soon to the recently purchased poly tunnel.
