Food Love and Community Feed Event by Year 5 Children
We are all very excited that 4th of April is when our Food, Love and Community Feed Event is. It is promising to be a great day with so many things to see and do, e.g Planting, visiting our edible play ground, food tasting with a chef, enjoying food to eat prepared by our children, food bank and debt advice stalls and much more so the most important thing there, will be you! So PLEASE make sure that you have your free tickets and the time (2.45pm- 5pm) saved in your diaries!
Many thanks to all the parents/ carers and members of the community, who by purchasing tickets for the Fundraising Musical Performance, ‘Angel’, have raised £300.00 towards the charity- The Olive Branch for Children.

Further donations are always welcome and can be made directly to the charity by following the link above.
The generosity of our community is something to be proud of and we are blessed to be surrounded by those who care for each other as well as those beyond our community.
The children performed beautifully and their hard work and commitment, which involved extra practise during their own time, was really worth it.
The song ‘Angel’, closing the performance was first sang and performed by the choir of children in Tanzania, who will be benefiting from the funds raised. What a wonderful way to show that their voices have truly been heard!
Special Thanks
Many thanks, also, to ALL the school staff and members of the community involved in organising this event, John Croker and Jo Philpot who wrote Angel (Malaika), Mrs Deans and Mr Barnes who organised the musical performances showcasing the talents and hard work of our children, Northcote Primary School Brass Band for joining us in performing, and ALDI, who very generously provided the tasty refreshments, which were served following the performance.
True community spirit, at this time of the year! A celebration of working together in unity and good spirit.
The following link shows a short clip, demonstrating the wonderful work of The Olive Branch for Children and at the very end, names our school as one of the top donators to the music project. Something to be very proud of! Thank you all and Merry Christmas.
