Sewing Club

In sewing club the past few months we have been making a bunting. This isn't just any bunting, it's special for our year 6. We will be using it for our leaving disco, our special  leaving assembly and parents meetings. We are proud of this bunting project because it will be something we have made together before we leave and are extremely happy that other year 6 children for years to come will  have the pleasure of using. 

Our new Project -- Aprons

Sewing club have been making Aprons this week. Some have made half aprons and some have made a full apron. The girls have been helping each other measure their waists (their knowledge of converting inches to centimetre's  came in handy) and measuring  the length of their apron and the amount of ribbon they will need.

Mrs Howson also set the girls a challenge -making her an apron- the girls where very excited. If they completed the challenge then Mrs Howson would kindly donate money towards a new sewing machine. Thanks to  Annmaria and Anais we have a new sewing machine! They both made a lovely half apron for Mrs Howson with a pocket for her phonic cards and true to her word Mrs Howson donated money for the new sewing machine!
